Love at First Sight
Saw each other for the first time at marching band practice. Paul may or may not have had his shirt off and Caitlyn may or may not have already fallen in love with him.

Finally became real friends after crushing on each other from afar for 2 years.
We Sorta Like Each Other
Went to see our first concert (Magic Man) together and even though we were trying not to let the other one realized we liked each other, a drunk stranger insisted we kiss for a picture. And we did.
It's Over?
Plans to meet up for New Year’s fell through and for some reason we both thought our non-existent relationship was over.
Crashed
Went to see one of our favorite composers (John Mackey)… but Paul crashed his car on the way there. Everyone was ok and we still made it to the concert, but then we ended up staying the night at Caitlyn’s grandparent’s nearby house to easily deal with car stuff the next day. Since we were unprepared, we made a Walmart run and got matching tie-dye animal tees and toothbrushes that sing One Direction songs.
Meet The Parents
Went on a road trip to Tulsa to see Walk the Moon. Paul also met Caitlyn’s parents in sweatpants, and later that day, met her brother in the same sweatpants.
Walk The Moon
Walk the Moon concert in Tulsa and first visit to Center of the Universe. Almost kiss at Center of the Universe… but didn't.
We're So Official
Officially become a couple through a roundabout discussion.

Caitlyn realizes what happened on May 5.

We both blurted out “I love you” for the first time and Caitlyn met Paul’s parents 10 minutes later.

Another road trip back to Tulsa for a Young the Giant concert and second visit to Center of the Universe. We kiss this time.
Graduation
Paul graduated college and our parents all met for the first time.
Road Trip
First big family road trip up to Idaho where Paul met Cait’s oldest brother and his family. Really knew it was true love after spending 24 hours in the car and we still weren’t tired of each other.
Big Move
Paul moved to Spring and started his teaching career.
Spain
Caitlyn spends a month in Spain for study abroad.
Will You Marry Me?
The greatest bamboozle of all time occurred. Caitlyn thought we were celebrating Paul’s birthday with a nice dinner at Chimera in Tulsa, and had no idea what was actually planned. We went to dinner, stopped by a few places we had previously explored in that area (ok, a lot of places because Cait wanted to stop everywhere and didn’t realize we were on a schedule), and then ended the night at the Center of the Universe. Paul tried to be cute but Cait kept getting distracted. Here’s how it finally happened:
*P finally gets C to stand in the center of Center of the Universe with him*
C: Why is my mom here?
P: Hey, FOCUS. *gets down on one knee and pulls out the ring*
C: Oh my God what
P: *says a few sweet things that neither of us honestly remember*
C: Is this real?
P: Will you marry me?
C: Duh
*hugs all around*
